The Story Behind the Bottle
Chief winemaker Rodolfo 'Opi' Sadler has been crafting our Opi Malbec for over a decade now. We call him 'The Magician', but he says there's no magic involved. It's simply a matter of making the most of the natural advantages around him. He has certainly proved his skill over the years and is he rated among the Top Ten winemakers in the country. Even as early as 2008, he scooped Trophy for ‘Best Malbec of Argentina’. His Reserve red is an inky dark masterpiece, made from intensely flavoured Malbec, hand picked from higher altitude, older vines. The result is concentrated fruit, all wrapped in toasty vanilla spice from 15 months in new French and American oak. Intense berry flavour, this smooth red is a great choice with rare roast beef.
