Flavour Profile
Our Épiphanie label is usually reserved for elite wines from Bordeaux – Premier or Grand Cru Classé – from wineries that are willing to part with a little excess stock, as long as we don’t reveal the source.
Here, however, we have a supremely elegant, top-class white from South Africa and one of its most premium regions – Constantia. Royalty of Europe were praising the sweet wines from there over 200 years ago. L’Épiphanie de Constantia Sauvignon Blanc however is firmly in the crisp, dry category, a pure-fruit, elegant, mineral-laced Sauvignon Blanc from high-altitude vineyards and one of the most famous wineries in South Africa.
Picked early for freshness and aged long on its lees for a little creaminess, this is a most elegant white, great with seafood or Japanese cuisine.
