Holdaway Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Marlborough has a 5-star reputation for citrusy-fresh and tropical Sauvignon Blanc. But this elegant white from a renowned estate takes quality to a new level. Brimful of nettle, bell pepper, grapefruit and passionfruit, it's vibrant and pure.

The Wine
Since the 1980s, New Zealand has been wowing the world with its terrific Sauvignon Blanc whites. It seems wine lovers can’t get enough of it. This is a refreshingly elegant white from the Holdaway estate in Marlborough. The family started the farm in 1854, buying up land in Wairau and Dillons Point, now two key areas for vines. Today, Alan Holdaway and his sons, Richard and Robert, grow some of the best grapes Marlborough has to offer. This lip-smacking 2022 was awarded a 94-points by Sam Kim in the Wine Orbit, who described it as “classically styled and exuberant with a lingering finish”. It shows great vibrance and complexity, so look forward to a great tangy-fresh glass. Very tasty on its own, with seafood, noodles or creamy risotto.
