The Story Behind the Bottle
Domaine Dujac has been a leader for many years, first to use whole bunch fermentation and key to raising the profile of Morey-Saint-Denis. It was founded by Jacques Seysses, who was born into a successful biscuit manufacturing family. His father was a great lover of fine wine and from an early age, Jacques met with some of France's finest winemakers. In 1966, he decided to leave the world of biscuits behind and spent two vintages with the legendary Gérard Potel at Volnay's Domaine Pousse d'Or. In 1968, he bought Domaine Graillet in Morey, playfully renaming it Domaine Dujac. With his son, Jeremy, coming on board, they forged partnerships with top growers. From the rocky limestone slopes of Aux Cras, this is a fine Nuits-St-Georges.
