The Story Behind the Bottle
Boekenhoutskloof was established in 1776. The farm was replanted in 1993 and is now making world class Syrah from the rugged vines high up in the Swartland mountains. 90% of the fruit for this wine was sourced from the 100pt Porseleinberg site, which is now farmed by the renowned viticulturist Callie Louw. Tim Atkin MW gave the 2022 vintage 96 points, calling it 'a refined, perfumed Syrah... showing subtle ginger and pepper spice, sculpted tannins and raspberry, plum and blackberry fruit'. Superb value.
