The Story Behind the Bottle
Now on her 30th vintage at the family estate, owner Christine Dubreuil is a highly skilled winemaker at her picture postcard Pernand-Vergelesses property. The village itself sits adjacent to the famous hill of Corton, on the top of which sits the Grand Cru vineyard of Corton-Charlemagne. Immediately to the north of it you find the vineyards of Pernand-Vergelesses, which produce intense, mineral-rich reds that age and whites which mimic the structure and energy of their Grand Cru neighbour. From her 20 hectares of vines, Christine produces a range from village Burgundy to the top Grands Crus. Fine-boned, ethereal reds and precise, mineral-focussed whites, this domaine is a real gem.
