Domaine du Clos Frantin Gevrey-Chambertin Les Murots Organic 2020
Enjoy delicate, nuanced, perfumed red fruits, with hints of woodsmoke in this fine Gevrey-Chambertin. It's from an Albert Bichot-owned estate, Clos du Frantin, and a vintage that offered "an undeniable embarrassment of riches" (JancisRobinson.com).
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
Albert Bichot is a renowned family négociant dating from 1831. With around 100 hectares of vines, they are one of the bigger players in Burgundy, with an excellent reputation. As Wine Advocate wrote, their wines "can really surprise". They are, above all, about finesse and nuance thanks to Albéric Bichot, a former IWC ‘Winemaker of the Year’. Lying in Nuits-Saint-Georges, 18th-century Domaine du Clos Frantin very much exemplifies the Bichot style – "elegance rather than power" (Charles Curtis, Decanter). The estate been certified organic since 2012. Pure Pinot Noir, hand-picked from the small 1.4-hectare plot, gently fermented, then aged up to 16 months in part-new oak, it's delicious now, but will gain complexity with age.
