Villa Loosen Riesling 2024
The renowned Dr. Loosen estate has been in the same family for over 200 years and has vines in some of Germany’s best-rated vineyards. Located in far western Germany, the Mosel valley’s steep, south-facing slopes create the perfect conditions for Riesling. Plenty of sun combined with the cool climate allows the grapes to ripen slowly, locking in their bright freshness.
This medium-dry Riesling is produced with fruit from estate-owned vineyards. Made using the traditional methods of Ernst Loosen’s great-grandfather, this wine is fermented in large, old oak casks and rests on its lees for 12 months for extra depth and complexity.
The result is a beautiful fruit-filled Riesling with plenty of citrusy zip and floral notes, ideal with grilled fish or as a glass on its own.
