Founded in 1967, Vasse Felix is Margaret River’s founding estate and a benchmark for great Australian Cabernet. The 2020 release was awarded 95/100 by The Real Review and an outstanding 96/100 by James Halliday’s Wine Companion. Halliday writes: “A marker of great cabernet is being seduced by the aromas and flavours, which need to be in harmony: everything tucked in neatly, and let’s not forget beautiful tannins matched to fine acidity. Does this fall into that class? Too right it does. Varietal flavours are pitch-perfect … the result is a certain elegance and class.
