Today it’s still owned by the De Wet family, with father and son duo – Freddie and Peter – running the show. Their philosophy is that great wine is made in the vineyard, so much care is given to the vines. The Coach House is a new wine from the team – all fruity and fresh, no oak and brimming with juicy plum fruit with a touch of violets. Ultimately it’s deliciously quaffable and smooth, a top drop to open with friends, no food, or with a light lunch, grilled meats or a squash and goat’s cheese bake.
