Its name refers to the first half of the century, when the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area was redeveloped to provide settlement areas for soldiers returning from the World Wars. The 20-acre farms were designed to be just the right size to sustain a family, and the area became one with a strong culture of community. Soldier Farms is a tribute to this heritage. It’s pure Chardonnay, with appealing ripe peach and nutmeg, pleasing roundness and a balancing zip of citrus freshness. Lovely to sip on its own, it’s a great choice with roast chicken, a creamy fish pie or spicy Asian cuisine.
