Flavour Profile
In Italy, Pinot Grigio is known for being crisp and citrusy, but in Alsace, where it is called Pinot Gris, it becomes an altogether different wine – rounded, floral and luxurious.
Pierre Brecht Pinot Gris is a perfect example. Steep sloping vineyards, abundant sunshine and cooling breezes from the Vosges mountains all add to the wine’s pristine freshness, amazing intensity and purity of fruit.
Alsace is a picturesque and unspoiled region with a long history of winemaking. This wine is from a 350-year-old cellar run by brothers Philippe and Claude Gisselbrecht.
Just off-dry, Pierre Brecht Pinot Gris is opulent and rounded with lightly spiced stone fruit. Enjoy with chicken salad, fish pie or spicy Asian dishes like a Thai green curry.
