Oastbrook Pinot Blanc 2023
Sussex
A wine from this beautiful Sussex estate, where Pinot Blanc shines solo. As critic Matthew Jukes said, it’s “nothing short of spellbinding, with smooth, luxurious and layered fruit notes.” A beautifully balanced, fruit-filled, creamy white.

The Wine
Owner and winemaker of Oastbrook Estate is America Brewer. Brazilian by birth, she remembers an old vine that used to stretch up the side of the house. When the grapes were ripe, she used to climb up and feast on them. She later discovered she had English ancestors, so feels right at home in Sussex, where she lives with her winemaker-husband, Nick Brewer. The buildings are a beautiful old oasthouse, formerly used by Guiness to dry hops. She planted vines up the side and discovered how well they grew. Encouraged by friends, she enrolled at Plumpton wine college, planted a vineyard in 2018, and now makes fabulous wines. This is her pure Pinot Blanc, a delicious balance of fresh apple fruit, creamy peach and nectarine, with citrus freshness.
