The Story Behind the Bottle
Luigi Einaudi is famed for being one of the best producers of Dolcetto in Italy. Based in Dogliani, their reputation goes back to 1897 when the winery was established by Luigi Einaudi, who later became the 2nd President of the Italian Republic. The estate also has many prestigious vineyards in Barolo and Barbaresco where their old vine Nebbiolo produces structured and rich wines. .James Suckling awarded the wine 94 pts and said ‘there’s a wealth of ripe and rich fruit here… cherries, plums and an array of fresh leaves and herbs. The palate has seamless, finely grained tannins that carry a smooth array of fresh and juicy red-cherry flavour’. This mature 2015 is drinking beautifully now but will still give pleasure for years to come
