Our Limited Release label is reserved for top-quality parcels of wines that must remain anonymous due to their ultra-premium source. This is from one of the very top cellars in Hawke’s Bay. They had somehow overlooked a few barrels of their premium Chardonnay that had been quietly resting in barrel. A style very reminiscent of white Burgundy. Our scout on the ground out there is Cleighton Cornelius, a top winemaker in his own right, scooted round to have a taste and managed to strike an excellent deal. Pale gold in colour, this has billowing aromas of ripe stone fruits and toasty oak. Rich and rounded with peaches and cream flavours, gentle spice notes and perfectly integrated oak notes. Perfect for a special dinner. Only gently chill.
