Domaine Barons de Rothschild – best known for the £1,000+ red wines of Château Lafite Rothschild in Pauillac – invested in Chile’s Los Vascos winery back in 1988. Today, Los Vascos ranks among the country’s most important estates, and its top red, Le Dix, is one of the most highly regarded labels in Chile. It’s a classic Chilean Cabernet with a touch of Syrah – rich in fruit for immediate appeal yet built to age. The 2019 offers exceptional depth and balance. Still youthful, so either decant and enjoy now or cellar for another 2–3 years. Expect a velvety claret style, full of Chilean ripeness and layered complexity.
