The Beer
Born in the green heart of the Belgian Ardennes, La Chouffe is the flagship ale of Brasserie d’Achouffe, a small brewery with a big reputation (and a cheeky gnome mascot). This golden blond ale is brewed with pure spring water, malted barley, and a secret blend of hops and spices. Pouring bright golden with a fluffy white head, it offers aromas of citrus peel, banana and coriander. On the palate, fruity esters mingle with gentle peppery spice and a soft malt sweetness, leading to a crisp, dry finish. At 8% ABV, it’s powerful yet perfectly balanced – refreshing, flavourful, and unmistakably Belgian. Winner of multiple World Beer Awards, La Chouffe is loved for its light body, lively sparkle and warming strength.
