It’s no longer in question that English sparkling wine can match the world’s finest, and Harrow & Hope is one of the best. Since planting their own vineyard in 2010, owners Henry and Kaye Laithwaite have won many top awards, including a Trophy for England's Winery of the Year.
Henry began his winemaking career crafting fine reds in Australia and Bordeaux, but he and his wife Kaye now have a 10-hectare vineyard in Marlow with Chardonnay and both Pinots. In making the move from reds to English Sparkling, Henry enlisted the late Tony Jordan, formerly of Australia’s Moët et Chandon and the UK’s late King of Fizz, Mike Roberts, formerly of Ridgeview.
Harrow & Hope Blanc de Blancs is pure Chardonnay from a small, very fine vintage. Part barrel fermented and aged on its lees for four years, it has ripe fruit, with excellent structure.
