Instead our buyer trekked to the most easterly edge of the North Island, to a uniquely sited vineyard in Gisborne, on the furthest, easternmost point of the coast. It’s the first place in the world to see the dawn rise each new day. There, bright sunlight coupled with sea breezes give this white wine its vibrant guava fruit and innate lime-zest freshness.
