Earth, Vine & Sun Viognier Chenin Blanc is from one of our favourite South African wineries – Journey’s End. As well as making outstanding wines, they are firmly committed to sustainably and supporting the local community.
Their original vineyards lie in Stellenbosch, but this sunshine-filled white wine comes from their more recent Swartland Growers’ Project. It’s made by Leon Esterhuizen, whom Jancis Robinson MW describes as, “With quality remarkably high and consistent … winemaker Leon Esterhuizen clearly does a fine job.”
Combining rich, spicy Viognier, apple-scented Chenin Blanc and just a touch of Rhône grape Grenache Blanc, it offers lightly tropical fruit and plenty of zesty freshness. Serve well chilled and enjoy with seafood, creamy chicken dishes or a fresh summer salad.
