Saint Aubin Premier Cru
Loading...
Philippe Colin is a small, under-the-radar estate, founded in 2004 and fast-gaining traction. “Very impressive indeed” said Wine Advocate of his wines. Les Combes is a superb Premier Cru white Saint-Aubin, creamy with subtle fruit and complexity.

The Wine
Philippe Colin has an outstanding 12-hectare domaine in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, with most of his holdings being Premier Cru and on the Puligny side. The domaine used to be part of Colin-Deleger, but Philippe and his brother, Bruno, decided to go their separate ways in 2004. Since then, Philippe's wines have received much praise: "clearly the domaine flies somewhat under the radar when one considers the quality to be found in the bottle … very impressive indeed", (W Kelley). His style is very pure and elegant, rather than oaky and intense. From a 0.35 hectare Premier Cru plot in Saint-Aubin, Les Combes has orchard fruits, creamy beeswax notes and subtle oak. Gently chill and serve with your finest white meat or seafood cuisine.
