Domaine des Nazins Brouilly 2024

Brouilly is one of 10 villages which produce the top 5% of Beaujolais wines – the region’s crus. It’s fine granite soils bring out the elegant red fruit, freshness and finesse of its only permitted red grape, Gamay.
15 years ago the Brac de La Perrière family, an illustrious line of Beaujolais winemakers who had no heirs of their own, were seeking a successor to take over their flagship Cru Brouilly estate, Domaine des Nazins. They found young winemaker Jean-Yves Bouillat – a Brouilly fanatic – who was looking for his dream job. The family handed Jean the reins and he’s repaid their faith with superlative wines.
This is pure Gamay (the grape of Beaujolais) with juicy red cherry and raspberry, floral lift, and spice. Silky, joyous and utterly irresistible to sip on its own or with charcuterie, pâtés or even with mushroom risotto.
