The Languedoc region of France is a treasure trove of good-value, well-ripened red wines – and Clefs du Pontif is a perfect example. It’s made in a similar style to Châteauneuf-du-Pape – without the famous-name price tag. The Languedoc’s warm, sunny Mediterranean climate and cooling coastal breezes create ideal conditions for slow, even ripening. A sumptuous blend of Grenache and Syrah, this red wine bursts with juicy blackberry and raspberry fruit, ripe tannins, sweet spice and liquorice notes.
