Flavour Profile
Nestled in the heart of the Côte des Bars, Château de Bligny was built in 1773 by Marquis de Dampierre on the foundations of a feudal castle. It’s a Champagne house with an extraordinary wine heritage and today owned by the Rapeneau family, who have revamped the vineyards and renovated the château.
All the grapes come from their own estate vineyards in Côte des Bars, and all winemaking stages are done at the estate – from fermenting to ageing and bottling.
Their fine Blanc de Blancs 2019 is pure Chardonnay, taken from 8 plots on the property. Bottle-fermented and lees-aged for years, it's gained toasty richness to flatter the ripe orchard fruits and minerality. A perfect celebration fizz or a luxury treat.
