Carruades de Lafite 2023
Pauillac AOC
Loading...

Second wine of Pauillac’s magnificent First Growth Château Lafite, Carruades has the richness, finesse and style of the Grand Vin, but also a stamp of its own. That’s thanks partly to an increase in Merlot (around 35%), all aged in fine oak.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Story Behind the Bottle
James Suckling, 95-96 points: A savory and juicy Carruades with softness and notes of ripe berry, cedar and dried tobacco. Like Lafite from the 1980s but more precise. Round and pretty. It really grows on the finish with such sweetness of fruit and length. Pointed, fine tannins at the end. Very long. A blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot.
