Cantine Bennati is a historic, family-run cellar founded in 1870 by Antonio Bennati in the heart of Valpolicella country – just east of Verona. For over 150 years, the Bennati family have specialised in the region’s classic reds and their pride and joy is their flagship Amarone.
Bennati Amarone della Valpolicella is made from the family’s finest grapes, handpicked from the best plots, and the grapes are left to dry until the end of the year to give that extraordinary intensity.
2021 was a five-star vintage, producing wines of intense concentration and excellent ageing potential. Powerful yet silky, this is crammed with black cherry, wild fruit jam and dark chocolate flavours. Perfect for slow-cooked meats, truffle pasta or aged cheeses.
