Founded in 1893, Balvenie distillery has a long tradition of producing exceptional single malts.
One of the few distilleries to malt its own barley, Balvenie is surrounded by 1,000 acres of fertile Banffshire farmland, and malting is still carried out on traditional malt floors.
This special release is a true showcase of Balvenie’s expertise. First aged in bourbon casks and then finished in barrels that held Caribbean rum, it gains a rich, creamy texture that beautifully frames notes of candied lemon, ripe banana and toffee, with hints of honey, vanilla and warm spice.
