Aunt Rosé Puglia 2024
Puglia IGT

Delicate pink rosé is all the rage, but this terrific rosato bucks the trend. Aunt Rose has a generous nature – bountiful summer berry fruit and juicy freshness thanks to the plentiful sunshine of Puglia in the very south of Italy.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

The Wine
This delicious rosato is named after the ancestor of winemaker Scipi Giuliani (of Papavero fame). Always partial to a drop of pink wine, Aunt Rose and her husband, Umberto, left Italy for the US in 1890 and dedicated their lives to their favourite grape – Zinfandel (known as Primitivo in Italy). No wonder, then, he gained the nickname Uncle Zin, while Aunt Rose … well, she remained Aunt Rose! With this in mind, Scipi has produced this full-of-fruit pink and named it after her. It’s pure Zinfandel/Primitivo grown in the rolling, sun-blessed vineyards of Puglia, the juice carefully cool fermented to capture all the berry fruit and freshness. A great choice on its own, or with soft cheeses, seafood, white meats or a classic fish soup.
