Antawara was founded in 2006 by Jaime Muñoz, an experienced winemaker, who decided it was time to go out on his own. Such has been his vision and his success that the venture has considerably expanded, but the quality never falters. Head winemaker today is Marcela Chandela, with experience all around the globe in New Zealand, South Africa, the States, Portugal, Spain and France, and including prestigious cellars such as Kendall Jackson. Her aim is to bring out the true fruit character of the grape, flattered, but not masked by the use of oak. You'll find that true of this great-tasting Reserva. Ripe, velvety plum and cherry fruit with a tickle of spice. A joy on its own or with roast chicken, spicy pork kebabs or crispy tofu with noodles.
