The Story Behind the Bottle
This is one in a series of outstanding wines we’ve secured thanks to our Buyer Beth’s great contacts. Wineries are first to let her know when they have a small parcel of a mature vintage they want to move. In return she gets a great-deal price. As you know, we can’t reveal the source, but it’s from a family winery with an impressive history of awards in Rioja. They were one of the first to prove the superb quality of old-vine wines in La Mancha too. This red was crafted from Bordeaux grapes Cabernet and Merlot, which also excel in the high altitude vineyards of La Mancha. Richness and intensity is combined with elegance, while ageing in oak barrels adds to luscious flavours. Superb value and great quality for both Rioja and Bordeaux lovers.
