Margaret River in Western Oz is renowned for its Bordeaux style reds and elegant, crisp Sauvignon Semillon whites. And also for Shiraz with lovely spicy depth. The quality – and Margaret River is known for it – is thanks to a climate cooled by the nearby Indian and Southern Oceans that makes the region one of the most temperate in Australia. This is a big on spice red from a founding family of this area, twice awarded ‘Best Red Wine in the World’ by the renowned IWC competition. This Gold medal Shiraz has aromas of freshly cracked white pepper, spice and maraschino cherries, leading onto pepper and spice flavours with cherry and plum fruit. An ideal companion alongside barbecued pork cutlets with potato rosti or lamb chops with rosemary.
