Margaret River is renowned today as “one of the great wine regions of the world” (Sunday Times). The Leeuwin Current flows along the coast, ensuring cool, even temperatures, so grapes ripen slowly and wines have the trademark Margaret River elegance. You’ll notice that in this red. Miles from Nowhere is the property owned by Franklin and Heather Tate. Know the name? Franklin used to work for Evans & Tate – the Tates are a founding family of the Western Australia wine scene. In 2007 Franklin and Heather set up on their own, still in the same area. ‘Miles From Nowhere’ is a nod to the distance between this region and pretty much anywhere else. Rich, ripe, spicy, this is a top choice with roast lamb or steak, and here in a handy quarter size.
