Critic Bob Campbell MW described Kiwi Sauvignon as a ‘bungee jump into a gooseberry bush’. It’s the tropical, grassy freshness that customers can’t get enough of, and Marlborough is the hot spot for the style. This is a smasher from a wine estate founded in 1980. Mike had often flown his plane over Blenheim, but never dreamed of growing vines there. But something caught his eye and, in 1980, he planted his first vine – Chardonnay. Sauvignon followed 6 years later. His winemaker is Josh Hammond, who first studied law and chemistry in Central Otago, then got sidetracked into wine! He's had experience in California and Burgundy, but is now firmly set in Marlborough. An elegant white with a core of tropical, citrus fruit. Chill and enjoy.

"This single-vineyard Sauvignon has a good bite of citrus and a lovely elegant finish" Daniel Parrott
