The award winning Cotswolds Distillery, winner of ‘Best London Dry Gin’ at the 2016 World Gin Awards, has now fulfilled its original ambition of making fine malt whisky. Guidance was provided by an expert, the late Dr Jim Swan, powerhouse behind the rise of some famous New World whisky distilleries. Rich and fruity in style, Cotswolds Single Malt was matured in ex-Bourbon barrels and specially reconditioned and re-charred red wine casks. This gives it striking originality. So too does the Cotswolds grown, floor malted barley. The barley variety and even the farm where it was grown are listed on the bottle. Whisky specialist Jim Murray awards Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky 94/100 in his annual Whisky Bible. Serve with a dash of spring water.
