Pinotage is unique to South Africa, and Bellevue Estate boasts some of the very first plantings in 1953. Success soon followed with a Trophy for Best Wine in 1959. 60 years on, that outstanding quality continues in this premium The Hills silky red.

Fresh strawberries, raspberries, plum, hint of spice
The Hills is a special edition Pinotage from Stellenbosch's superb Bellemore Estate. It uses the hand picked grapes of ancient bush and younger trellised vines, grown on the Hills of Stellenbosch's premium Bottelary. Afternoon sea breezes keep the vines cool and produce superb elegance, yet richness, in the wine. Bellevue has been owned by the Morkel family since 1861 and are as famous as the Kanonkop Estate for being one of the earliest pioneers of this variety. Winemakers Wilhelm Kritzinger and Anneke Potgieter are Pinotage specialists. Aged in oak casks for a year, this wine’s fresh red berry and plum fruit has a gentle hint of spice, while tannins are beautifully rounded. Enjoy with barbecued chicken, char-grilled steaks or a casserole.
"Fabulous. This is definitely one of my favourites. A beautiful wine. Will definitely order again"
