One of the oldest (1549) and most highly respected names in the southern Rhône, the Perrin family combine tradition with innovation. Pioneers of organic and biodynamic viticulture, they were following these practices in the 1950s, long before it was deemed on trend. They use laser sorters in the cellar to ensure only the finest berries go into the vat, with any rejects niftily expelled with a tiny jet of air. Renowned for its elegance, balance and ageing potential, 2018 Château de Beaucastel lives up to the critics' soaring expectations. An intense, powerful, yet elegant expression of the finest Châteauneuf vineyards and this low yield vintage. A wine that'll make delicious early drinking, yet will age magnificently for well over a decade.
