A new release Sauvignon Blanc from Chile, bursting with crisp lemony and lightly tropical fruit. It’s from a 24 year old family owned estate and winemaker Victor Baeza. For bright, refreshing flavour at a great value price, this wine is hard to beat.
"Delicious. Fabulously crisp, refreshing and absolutely delightful. 5-Stars"
Online Review For the 2018 vintage
Chile has gained a 5-Star reputation for both supple Bordeaux style reds and super fresh, elegant Sauvignon Blanc. This is our latest find. It’s from a family winery founded in 1994, with extensive vineyards in Colchagua and Curicó. To fine-tune their wines they employed Victor Baeza as winemaker. With 30 years experience, including stints at prestigious properties such as Château d’Aiguilhe in Bordeaux, and Montes in Chile, Napa and Argentina, he’s done an excellent job. Grapes for this white are taken from 20 year old vines, grown inland and high up, where the climate is cool. Sunny days and cold nights are the ideal conditions to bring out the citrus and herbaceous fruit of this grape. Chill and enjoy a glass solo or with lighter dishes.
