Tua Rita Rosso dei Notri 2020

Founders Rita and Virgilio started the Tua Rita property as farmers, but their passion for wine gained the upperhand. Their two-hectare vineyard has grown, nearly 40 years later, to 30 and they have progressed from 'garage' winemakers to a small, gravity-fed cellar, and their wines gain top scores from the world's toughest critics. The property lies in Val di Cornia, between the Tyrrhenian sea and Colline Metallafere, in much-desired Maremma (home to top names Sassicaia and Tignanello). This is their Cabernet, Syrah and Merlot red from the pebble and clay soils of upper Maremma. Intense, dark fruits, with a touch of hazelnut and chocolaty spice, it's a great foil for rich pasta or grilled meats.
