The Wine
Third generation Martínez Bujanda is one of the top producers in Rioja, renowned all over the world. The family business was founded late in the 19th century, then was transformed in 1984 when the Bujanda brothers built an ultra modern facility that is still one of the finest in Europe. Every year their wines win many awards and they have been listed top Spanish bodega and among the top 50 wineries in the world many times. We have long been championing their superb Riojas, and were delighted when Jesús offered us this great value Tempranillo packed with silky strawberry flavour – the sort of wine the locals prefer to keep for themselves. A lovely red to sip with friends, either on its own, alongside a range of tapas, or with chicken dishes.
