The Wine
Familia Zuccardi ranks among the country’s most respected wine producers, winning ‘Top Value Brand of the Year’ three times from Wine & Spirits magazine and in 2016 a Lifetime Achievement award. Back in the 1950s Alberto Zuccardi started an irrigation company in Mendoza. In 1963 he planted a vineyard to show how his watering system could benefit grape quality, thereby writing himself into history and establishing Familia Zuccardi. Alberto’s son José now manages the business with grandsons Sebastián and Miguel, while Rubén Ruffo, the estate’s internationally experienced winemaker, ensures every wine is outstanding in its class. The 2017 Santa Julia Malbec is a smooth, easy going and fruit filled red made for everyday enjoyment right now.
