The Wine
Chile excels with the Sauvignon Blanc grape. Cooler climate vineyards with warm days and cold nights seem to capture the bright tropical fruit and refreshing lemony zing that this grape is renowned for. Riversong comes from the well established Luis Felipe Edwards estate, which can boast of winning Chile’s ‘Winery of the Year’ four times. They are very much a family owned concern and use only estate grown grapes. Over the years they have bought some exciting vineyards in premium, boundary pushing areas, close to the coast and high up in the hills. Winemaker is the talented Nicolas Bizzarri, Luis Felipe Edwards Snr’s son-in-law. Chill down this Sauvignon – it’s refreshing solo or with spicy noodles or seafood.
