The Beer
Rebellion Brewery was founded in 1993 by two friends, Tim Coombes and Mark Gloyens. They attended school together in Marlow at a time when the sweet malt aromas from the local Wethered Brewery were a constant reminder that Marlow was an active brewing town. When the brewery closed its doors in 1987, Tim and Mark set out on a mission to revive Marlow's brewing tradition. And so Rebellion was born. Since then they have gone from strength to strength and their beers have a loyal following from local pubs and customers alike. All their beers use the mineral-rich water from the Chiltern Hills excellent for quality brewing. Rebellion Red is a rich, malty, traditional ale with a twist of citrus and bitterness from the Goldings and Cascade hops.
