Malbec is the hottest ticket amongst red wines and Opi's Malbec is a best seller. It has been since its launch in 2008. Every year Opi seems to find even more smooth, ripe plummy flavour. No wonder it won ‘Best Malbec of Argentina’ on first release.

The Wine
Wine Spectator states that "there is no GREATER VALUE in red wine anywhere in the world today than Argentine Malbec”, totally borne out by Opi Malbec, the maestro's eponymous red. He coaxes so much richness and flavour from the fruit, his peers call him 'the magician'. Despite all his wines' success and 30 years as winemaker, he's remained such a gentle, affable and modest man. On a recent visit to the UK, even the official examining his passport wanted to know if he was "THE Opi Sadler!" Obviously another fan of the wine. He crafts this great red from hand picked grapes grown high in Mendoza, then gently ages it in barrel. The result is a gorgeous fruit rich, velvety style wine. Enjoy with spicy sausages, pasta, steak, or just on its own.
