Lucky Saint is the product of one man’s quest to create a low alcohol lager that’s actually worth drinking. It was Luke Boase’s ambition to change the world’s perception of alcohol free beer, so he set about immersing himself in the science of brewing. After working at four UK breweries, he spent a year in Germany knocking on brewery doors and drinking alcohol-free beers, until he found a brewer who could help him with his project. On returning to London, Luke set about creating his first batch, sourcing the finest Hallertau hops, Bavarian barley, creating his own yeast and developing an ingenious ‘step mash’ process that gives more control when creating the wort. This in turn allows him to produce this fuller flavoured, rewarding beer.
