Limited Release Syrah 2019

Matetic Vineyards are nestled in the heart of Chile’s Colchagua Valley. Their vines were first planted on the hillside of this privileged area, the coastal valleys of Casablanca and San Antonio, in 1999. Here Syrah grapes benefit from the cooling effect of ocean breezes and briny sea sprays coming from the Pacific. Being so remote has its profits. The clear air brings out a purity in the fruit and the natural wildlife assists the winery's sustainable practices. When they launched their Limited Release Syrah in 2004, they became pioneers of cool-climate Syrah in Chile and have since received accolades aplenty. 2019 was a stellar vintage producing grapes rich in flavour with silky tannins and freshness.
