Fonseca Bin 27 Port NV

Fonseca lies firmly in the top league of port houses, regularly scoring very highly with critics and much loved by consumers. From its first vintage release in 1840, they have consistently produced great ports. As critic James Suckling wrote, "The vintage ports of Fonseca are perhaps the most consistently great of them all. Not only do they have a striking fleshiness and powerful richness when young, but they retain that youthfulness for decades." Bin 27 is their special reserve port, made from various vintages and long aged in wood, so its flavours are beautifully married together, as well as intense and fruit-filled. Intense blackberry, cherry and plum rippled with mocha and spice, this is a treat with cheeses or a dark chocolate torte.
