Prosecco comes in styles spumante and frizzante. The latter is the gentler fizz, with fewer bubbles – the epitome of elegant refreshment. This is a very tasty example from Marco Flacco, who works for a third generation, award winning family winery. Among its many prizes is a Trophy for its Prosecco. Marco works closely with a handful of family growers in several regions across Italy to produce a small range of exciting wines. His latest find was a vineyard of great Glera grapes from the premium areas Conegliano and Valdobbiadene – an exciting discovery in these times when there’s hardly enough Prosecco to go round! With a gentle pzizz of bubbles and appealing fruity flavour, this is a very moreish glassful to share with friends or family.
