Over the last 20 years, England has gained a worldwide reputation for high-quality sparkling wines. Many of its vineyards are planted on the same chalky soils as Champagne and the climate is very similar to the famous French region 20 years back. Ideal for fine sparkling wine. English Heritage has collaborated with the Trophy-winning Ridgeview Estate to make this exceptional pink fizz. Winemaker of the Year 2018 Simon Roberts selected fine quality Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier, using the same traditional method as Champagne, with long lees ageing.
