The Wine
Domaine Régis Fèvre is a small estate in Fyé, the village where Bernard Dampt first started his family estate. When it came up for sale in 2017, brothers Emannuel and Eric Dampt jumped at the chance of expanding their domaine, with some exceptionally fine vineyards from their neighbour. Fourchaume is a treasured Premier Cru, with richness as well as laser-like freshness thanks to vines that are 35 years old and the conditions of the 2021 vintage. This magnificent Premier Cru from a true classic vintage shows a racy style, yet has depth, richness and poise thanks to a full malolactic fermentation and over 10 months ageing on lees. Serve cellar cool in large-bowled glasses and pair with finest seafood, such as salmon en croute or scallops.
