The Story Behind the Bottle
There’s something about a Californian Merlot. It’s such a crowd-pleasing style - juicy, supple and packed with plummy fruit flavours. So when we come across a great one, we snap it up quickly! Cooper Point comes from organically farmed vineyards in Mendocino County, in the northern part of California. In 2020, Mendocino produced some amazing quality wines with intense flavours from smaller berries. And thankfully it avoided much of the wildfire damage affecting neighbouring counties. A velvety red, Cooper Point Merlot has been taken up a notch with a splash of Petite Sirah to add extra black fruit character. Silky-smooth with aromas of ripe plum, strawberry, and a hint of vanilla spice, it's a great partner to mushroom risotto or kebabs.
